The Beginning ...

Happy 2016! New year, new experiences!

Looking back six months ago, during one summer evening in New York City, I was walking along the Henry Hudson Parkway to my apartment in the Upper West Side. I vividly remember wearing a summer cotton dress and sandals and cross-over bag. Every time I wanted to look at my phone (which was probably about every other minute), I had to dig around in my purse. I recall wishing that my dress had pockets, so my phone could be more accessible and then thinking wouldn't it be life-changing if ALL dresses I owned were dresses with pockets?

After the 3 mile walk home, I opened a nice bottle of oaky Chardonnay and sat down on the couch with my laptop. Like so many other times when I'm looking for solutions, I Googled.  What? No online retail website that strictly carried clothing with pockets?! That can't be, can it?

You know, us girls don’t always want to carry a purse but something we always want to have around is our phone. Pockets would solve that issue. Pockets every day, all of the time would be amazing! And one convenient place where we can buy quality, stylish clothing with pockets without spending a fortune would be even better. Other gals must feel this way, no? Anh, my good college friend and partner in this venture, definitely felt that way and so began our adventures of starting thepocketshop.com ...

Thanks everyone for all of the love and support and helping us make this happen!

xoxo,

Vicky
